Getting Started

This is going to be an on-line journal of sorts.  Mostly, I will be tracking and sharing my sewing patterns, projects and tutorials.  If I get to the end of the day and cannot look back and see that I have accomplished something, that day seems completely lost to me.  I truly believe that our time on earth should be spent in a productive way.  All of us have a different measure of what constitutes a productive day and that measure changes as we experience life.  I spent 40+ years of my life just trying to survive and raise my kids (and they are my best production) and then God saw fit to bring a special man into my life (Bern) who allows me to be me, who supports and encourages me as no man ever has.  I'm so blessed to love him.

I've always found solace in sewing and can't remember a time when I didn't do it.  My blessed "Bigmama" started teaching me to sew when I was VERY young and that teaching continued for many years.  She taught me many things, not only about sewing, but about how to be a good person and making sure that I give back to others.  She was not only my mentor, but my best friend until her death.  I'll be forever grateful to God for giving her to me.
